In 2002, The Nature Conservancy revealed their Global Fire Initiative, to combat decades of suppression, overuse, and misuse of fire that has altered ecosystem structure and function. The Global Fire Initiative is active in 14 countries, where The Nature Conservancy and partners work on restoring natural fire regimes that benefit humans and nature and reduce fire in places where it is destructive. The Kyoto Protocol
The Kyoto Protocol is a legally binding agreement which industrialized countries have agreed to reduce their collective emissions of six major greehouse gases: carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, sulfur hexafluoride, HFCs, and PFCs - calculated as an average over the five-year period of 2008-12. It should be noted that The United States of America has signed to DECLINE this protocol, and stands mostly alone in this perspective. The Kyoto Protocol itself can be found The Kyoto Protocol
The Montreal Protocol
The Montreal Protocol on Substances That Deplete the Ozone Layer is an international agreement to protect the stratospheric ozone layer. "The Montreal Protocol stipulates that the production and consumption of compounds that deplete ozone in the stratosphere--chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), halons, carbon tetrachloride, and methyl chloroform--are to be phased out by 2000 (2005 for methyl chloroform). Scientific theory and evidence suggest that, once emitted to the atmosphere, these compounds could significantly deplete the stratospheric ozone layer that shields the planet from damaging UV-B radiation." The website about the Montreal Protocol can be found The Montreal Protocol
