Everyone has heard about how much of a blunder the bush/cheney administration was. It was entirely an advantagous blunder with singular greed and self promotion. George Bush and Dick Cheney treated conservation problems, pollution problems, and climate problems , as if they were no threat whatsoever to the american people. On the other hand, terrorism and scarorism (on behalf of Bush/cheney) were constantly being shoveled at the american public. As a result the american government spent the better part of 8 years focused on war and "national security", which happened to be a very profitable venture for both Bush and especially Dick Cheney, who is closely tied to Halliburton, a large government military contractor. Ask yourself this: if Cheney had been affiliated with GE and not halliburton , what would the administration have focused on? war or our ongoing environmental problems? Hmm... think about it.
